from the what-the-hell-just-happened dept.
I know, what happened? I have been so friggin busy with a lot of things that I don’t know where to start.
This last weekend of Saturday May 28th to June 1st, went to Kansas City to visit my woman’s relatives, I started my new job, and I had to stop my radio program during that time, and I had to switch back to Windows 7…more about all of that after the leap…so TAKE THE LEAP NOW!!
So about the job…I fucking love it! I work at a place called Concordia Turners, a mini-YMCA if you will. You pay quarterly or yearly to get access to the gymnasium they have, weight room, activities, and of course, a swimming pool. I run the concession stand. It is minimum wage but it is so fun! Summer job tho…:( I get to make burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese sandwiches, turkey/ham sandwiches, and of course hand out soda, chips, candy bars, juice, water, freeze pops, and pretzels and candy. Not only that, but I also work for tips, which that is cool.
There is only about 5 people working there, one at a time. One in the morning and one for the evening. So far, I have had to close once and the rest of the times, I have opened. Which I think I like opening better than closing. So far, it is very fun doing all of this, now I just need another job in place or to go along with this one.
I have a couple of things lined up and am waiting to hear back on them. Won’t say what they are yet but as soon as I hear about them, I will let you know.
Yes…I have had to go back to Windows 7…I don’t mind it but the fact is that it makes me mad that I have to use Windows in order to do what I wanted to in Linux for my radio show. Now, I will have my VM back up and running soon on CentOS instead of Xubuntu as CentOS has a better structure for anything server related compared to *ubuntu flavors. That will still have the SHOUTcast DNAS and Transcoder on there to stream music I have preset. I will then be able to use SAM Broadcaster to stream to that and be able to take Skype calls to put the call over the air and chat with people. I can’t wait to test it on a live human! MWA HA HA HA HAAAAAA!! I should have the server back up and running this week and hopefully will be able to do a show on Thursday with my normal antics. If you do tune in, however, you may hear some testing going on. Have fun listening if you do.
Other than all of that, it has been crazy, I have enjoyed this craziness but it is time for things to get back to normal. Let it begin this week!
Until then, rock on!
